Dental implants · Glendora, CA

A replacement that restores the bite first, and the smile with it.

An implant is a titanium root placed into the jaw, then restored with a crown, bridge or denture. Done properly it holds bone in place, spares the neighbouring teeth and behaves like the tooth it replaced, for decades.

  • Single tooth implants
  • Implant-supported bridges
  • Implant-retained dentures
  • Bone grafting
  • Extraction & site preservation

Why replace a missing tooth at all

The jaw resorbs where a root is gone, and neighbouring teeth drift into the space. Replacing early keeps the case simple; waiting years often turns one implant into grafting plus orthodontics.

Planned before it is placed

Imaging determines bone volume, nerve position and the angle the crown ultimately needs. The restoration is designed first and the implant placed to serve it, not the other way round.

Dentures that stay put

Two to four implants can anchor a lower denture and end the daily negotiation with adhesive. Chewing force returns to something close to natural.

Before & after

What to do beforehand, and what the days after really look like.

Before your implants visit

  • Tell us about blood thinners, bisphosphonates, diabetes or smoking. Each of these changes planning and healing.
  • Stop smoking if you possibly can; it is the most common reason implants fail.
  • Get gum disease under control first. Implants do not survive in inflamed tissue.
  • Arrange a soft-food day and a driver if sedation is planned.

Afterwards & aftercare

  • Expect swelling and soreness for two to three days, well managed with ice and over-the-counter pain relief.
  • Soft foods for the first week; avoid chewing directly on the site.
  • No smoking, no straws, no vigorous rinsing for the first 48 hours.
  • Clean around the implant exactly as you would a natural tooth; implants get gum disease too.
  • Call us for pain that increases after day three rather than easing.

Implant cases are photographed at consultation, at placement and at final restoration, and paired with imaging that shows bone maintained around the fixture. That combination of the visible crown and the invisible bone is the honest before-and-after for this treatment.

Questions we're asked

Dental Implants, answered plainly.

How long do dental implants last?
The implant itself often lasts a lifetime with healthy gums and regular maintenance. The crown on top typically needs replacing after 10 to 20 years.
Does getting an implant hurt?
The placement itself is done under local anaesthetic and most patients report it as easier than the extraction that preceded it. Soreness for a few days afterwards is normal.
How long does the whole process take?
Usually three to six months from placement to final crown, because bone integration cannot be rushed. Grafting adds a few months.
Am I too old for implants?
Age is rarely the deciding factor, bone volume, gum health and general medical status are. We assess all three before recommending.
Implant or bridge?
A bridge is faster and cheaper but requires cutting down two healthy neighbours. An implant costs more up front and usually wins over a twenty-year horizon. We will lay out both.

  • I was one of those people that put off the dentist for years. Things had gotten pretty bad. The staff treated me very well, they saw what needed to be done and did it. The work by Dr. Bui is top notch. I felt no pain during the work being done, and the final results are great.
